01) Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Diploma in Engineering should be of 3 years duration after SSC / HSC. 02) Should have English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination. 03) Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. However, Candidates who have pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible |

B.Sc. shall be with Physics as principal and Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. 02) Mathematics at H.S.C. Essential requirements for Skill Test |
01) Typewriting Test – 30 words per Minute typing speed in English on PC. 02) Computer Proficiency Test – Should have passed a Certificate Course of duration of not less than 6 months on MS- Windows Operating System and Desktop Applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point), email Management and Internet Surfing. However, this will not apply to the candidates who have studied computer science/computer applications as one of the subjects in their school or college curriculum |

Period of Training
The period of training for the post of Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Diploma Holders in Engineering & Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Science Graduates will be 1½ years (18 months). |
Details of Bond to be executed by the Category-I Stipendiary Trainee
Candidates selected for Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Diploma Holders in Engineering & Category-I Stipendiary Trainees/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Science Graduates will have to execute a Bond prior to induction in Traineeship programme. The Bond to be executed will be 3 times of training period subject to minimum of 2 years and maximum of 5 years. In the event of breach of Bond, the amount repayable will be equivalent to the Stipend plus Book Allowance actually received. |
Service Bond for serving in NPCIL for a period of – Four years and six months (4½ years) after completion of training |
Indemnity Bond / Bank Guarantee for an amount of Rs 3,03,000/- |

- The Online registration process consist of following steps :
- Step 1:The applicant is required to furnish all basic information such as Name, Date of Birth, Category, Email, Mobile number and other exemption details, if applicable. On successful completion of this stage, activation link is sent to applicant’s email. Click on Apply => Online Registration from the top / left for registration.
- Step 2: The applicant is required to activate the account by clicking on the activation link received through email after completing registration in Step 1.
